I was lucky enough to get my hands on the latest release from Rimmel London today: The Lash Accelerator mascara with ‘Grow-Lash Complex’. Yes, you read right, a drugstore mascara with a lash growth product in-built. Sound good? Then read on!
First things first, I love the packaging. It’s bright, eye catching and nice quality. I love the bright yellow/green cap, an unusual colour in the make up world!
I’m also a big fan of the wand. It’s long, giving you good control, thin enough to enable you to reach the teeny tiny lashes at the edge of your eyes, but still full enough to add just the right amount of volume.
And in terms of the formulation? I have to say I’m very impressed yet again! It’s very lengthening so you need eyelash curlers to see it’s full effect, but in my opinion it provides the perfect amount of volume and length. See for yourself in the scary eye-snap below:

It wears pretty well too. I find some mascaras lose length throughout the day or start to flake or run, but 6 hours in there are no signs of either!
As for the growth complex… only time will tell! I’ll do my best to keep you all updated. It could be a gimmick, but I like the results enough to cover the £8.99 price tag. It’s slightly more expensive than the Maybelline Colossal Volum and ‘The Falsies’, which is it’s only downside in my opinion, as those mascaras are also fabulous choices.
The Lash Accelerator will be available in the UK from the 1st September.
