A gel eyeliner for your brows. Sounds scary, right?! Think again! For the past few weeks I’ve been using the new Illamasqua Brow Gel pots and they are amazing. Like seriously great.
When these landed on my doorstep last week I thought they would be hard to use, OTT and a bit of a faff, but they are utterly brilliant. Yes, you need to be careful you don’t over apply and you need to use the perfect brush, but when applied correctly these look really natural and stay all day!
The shade Strike is also the perfect brow shade for me (something that can be tricky being a blonde with brunette eyebrows, it’s hard finding the right balance of warm/cool tones)
To apply, I use a tiny little eyeliner brush (mine is also from Illamasqua, here), take a small amount onto the back of my hand, load the brush then wipe away any excess into the back of my hand to ensure I don’t over-apply (less is definitely more in this case!) I then use the tiny brush to paint little strokes into my brows where they are a little sparse, mimicking the appearance of natural hairs.
I’ve been combining this will my Eylure brow gel to set the hairs in place and I’ve been absolutely loving the results! New brow holy grail product right here!
What do you think? Would you try gel for your brows or will you be sticking with pencils and powder?!
You can pick up the Illamasqua brow gel for £18.50 at Illamasqua counters, or online from ASOS here.
