Pommes Frites Candle Co.

A few months ago, I found one of these candles in a little shop in Brooklyn, New York and it’s quickly become one of my all time favourites. I’d never heard of the Pommes Frites Candle Co at the time (I was just drawn in by the delicious scent!) but it turns out these little brown jars are really something quite special.

The scent I went for at the time was Amber & Moss, and after falling totally in love with it when I got home, I tracked down a place to buy them in the UK…

Although they are quite a bit more expensive here (£18 compared to $16!), I think they are really worth it, as in comparison to some of the other high-end candles out there (which are still double the price) they kick off a lot more scent,  and the fragrances are totally unique and utterly divine.

I think the Amber and Moss is still my favourite, but I have since ordered three more in the form of Sweet Grapefruit (I’m not normally that much of a grapefruit fan but this is gorgeous, and probably my second favourite!) Teakwood & Tobacco (more of a sexy masculine, wintery scent but gorgeous for a home fragrance) and Fig & Jasmine (really nice but surprisingly my least favourite (I normally obsess over fig fragrances!)

I looked into the history of the company a bit more and was happy to find out it’s actually a family business run by a husband and wife team from LA. I managed to track down a stockist in the UK here who sells all of the scents I have, but the company also has an Etsy store that apparently ships worldwide so I may have to make my next order from there and try out some different scents (Hello, Spiced Pumpkin!)

Have any of you heard of or tried these candles before? I’m obsessed!
