eBay is best known, in the fashion
world at least, as a place to pick up bargain second hand/vintage pieces and
the occasional sold out limited edition item (Hello H&M designer
collaborations!)
If I’m honest, I hadn’t thought much
about the fact that brands themselves sell their wares via eBay in the past,
but there are actually over 100 high street brands that sell directly through
eBay. Along with a whole host of independent boutiques, it can be a great place
to shop, not only for pre-owned and vintage pieces, but for both new season
styles and sale bargains directly from the brands themselves!
eBay Fashion invited me along to a
preview of their Spring/Summer Collection this week, giving me the opportunity
to play around with some of the items available on the site, and to style my
very own outfit from a selection of items used in their Spring/Summer Look
Book.
It was a little nerve wracking
getting in front of the camera with an audience watching on, but once I’d
overcome my fears, it was such a fun experience and I totally fell in love with
the dress I chose, which was from BooHoo (and only £12.50… bargain!). I was a
huge eBay shopper in my teens, and the experience has really opened my eyes to
the credible shopping potential of eBay again!
I discovered that brands like
BooHoo, LK Bennet, Moda in Pelle, Very, Dune, Karen Millen, Religion,
LittleWoods, Pied a Terre, House of Fraser and French Connection (to name but a
few!) all sell directly through eBay, so you can bag a bargain and be sure it’s
coming from a legitimate source.
What’s the best bargain you’ve
bagged on eBay recently? I would love to know if you have any favourite sellers
too!
You can check out the outfits styled
by myself and other fashion bloggers at the event here.
