There
have been whispers about the new By Terry Aqualip Jelly Tint circling around
the blogging world over the past week. I was lucky enough to get the chance to
try it out today, so I thought I’d share my thoughts and a few pictures with
you all.
The
Aqualip Tint in Dancefloor Flirt is part of By Terry’s new summer collection
and at first glance (to be very honest!) I wouldn’t have even picked it up. In
the tube it looks like a gloss version of any other reddish-coral lip stain,
but this little tube of fluro-jelly is hiding a secret.
When
applied to the lips it stains them a beautiful bright pink, almost fuchsia, and
is significantly more pigmented than any other stains I’ve tried in the past.
It layers up beautifully to create a gorgeous bright lip that is perfect for
the summer months and what’s more, it stays put for hours!
It’s
so light on the lips, it’s virtually undetectable and doesn’t dry them out one
bit. This is all thanks to some snazzy-sounding colour-vector technology and emollient
hydrophilic polymers (I for one am not sure what either of the aforementioned are,
but do know I like them!)
I’m
absolutely loving what seems to be a new era of lip stains hitting the market
this year. The YSL Glossy stains, while not really comparable to this, are also
a step away from the boring, watery, red lip stains that we are used too and I
really think it’s a step in the right direction… It looks like lip stains are
in for a comeback!
The
By Terry AquaLip will be available this month in SpaceNK. It’s not cheap at £22
(It is By Terry after all!) but is a truly unique product. I can’t wait for
this technology to hit the high street!
