Elizabeth Arden Rose Aurora Collection

I tweeted about making this gorgeous new rose gold discovery over a week ago now, and for some reason time has slipped away from me and I’m only just getting around to sharing it with you all.

don’t often go for Elizabeth Arden makeup. I’m not really sure why, it’s just not a natural stopping point in the beauty hall for me. Their latest Spring collection however, may be about to change all that as I’ve fallen head over heels in love with it.

The Rose Aurora collection consists of three gorgeous products all housed in rose gold packaging. There is a shimmery bronzer, a slightly metallic natural pink lipstick (Rose Aurora) and last but not least, the star of the collection, the Rose Illumination highlighter.

All of the products are simply divine, but the highlighter really steals the show. The colour is lovely, the pigmentation is good and it leaves a gorgeous spring glow to the skin. I’m not normally much of a highlighter girl, but I’ve been wearing this every single day since I got it. It’s one of those rare products that combines beautiful limited edition packaging with a great, everyday shade inside. The products are pricey at £19 for the lipstick, £23 for the highlighter and £25 for the bronzer, but if you like a bit of luxury in your makeup bag and have an obsession with rose gold like me, these are a must see!

Another update on the Elizabeth Arden front… They are also releasing a new ‘unfragranced’ version of their cult 8 Hour Cream. I got the chance to try this out as well last week and while it does still carry some scent, it’s definitely much less powerful and will certainly be a winner for anyone out there who loves the product but hates it’s distinctive medicinal smell!
