Bourjois Nail it for Summer 2011

Every summer, every beauty brand brings out their summer collection promising to give the the ‘perfect summer glow’ ‘beautifully bronzed skin’ or adorn you with the latest must have ‘summer brights’.

Well one brand have really hit the nail on the head this year.

Bourjois have released a few collections this summer and these are my ‘must haves’ from the line up (and I mean must haves these products are truly fab)

First up is the fast-becoming cult Delice de Soleil bronzer (£8.99). I am late on the bandwagon to try this one, but am totally in love with the addictive, swivelling packaging and even more in love with the product. This has bagged a firm place in my makeup bag all summer.

(Top to bottom: Delice de Soliel Bronzer, Intense Eyeshadow (2), Effet 3D Gloss (Brun Exotic), Delice de Soleil Foundation (Shown mixed 50/50 bronzer & foundation in Fair/Medium)

My second must have is one of their new Intense Eyeshadows (£6.99). The newest version of the classic ‘little round pots’, the ‘Intense’ variants are cased in a much slimmer compact and pack in twice as much pigment. No 2 is a beautiful rose gold shimmer that would make the perfect holiday shade (see above). I’m so impressed with the whole line of Intense shadows, but this shade is particularly eye catching.

My top pick of the summer ‘Paris Show Time’ So Laque nail polish collection has to be ‘Orange Creation’ (£5.99). A vibrant, neon orange with a super shiny finish.

The Effet 3D lipglosses have been around for years but Bourjois decided to mix it up a bit for their summer colours this year. Not only do they have SPF15 and claim to be waterproof (which baffles me, as aren’t all lipglosses waterproof?!) but they are also coconut flavoured. I absolutely love coconut scented products in the summer so I adore this gloss (Brun Exotic, above). It looks quite dark in the tube but shows up a beautiful bronze with gold and pink shimmer (£6.99).

Last but most certainly not least (this one’s my favourite!) Is their new Delice de Soleil Bronzing Mineral Foundation (£9.99). This clever little pot contains two different shades of mineral powder so you can custom blend your own colour.

You can even just use the dark shade as a bronzer if you like. It smells delicious and leaves you with a medium coverage, natural looking finish.

I was seriously impressed by Bourjois’ summer offerings. Have any of you checked out the latest collections?

All of these products are available in Boots & Superdrug now.
