Tuesday Treats

Today I wanted to talk about three things that have been making me happy this week. Whether it’s something to add to your wish list, a mid-week treat, or a gift for a friend… maybe it’ll give you some ideas for your next shopping trip!

First of all for my current candle of choice: Byredo’s Tree House. I put my hand up and fully admit that I bought this candle solely because Taylor Swift said it was her favourite (in her Vogue 73 questions video here) but having used it for the past few weeks I have to admit it’s quickly become my favourite too. It doesn’t actually smell all-that out of the box, it’s quite woody and warm but not that special. When you light it however, it becomes the perfect warm-home scent. It’s calming and sophisticated. Byredo is a pricey brand and these candles will set you back £50, so it’s a special-occasion burn only for this one but I do love it. It would make a great gift, and it’s one I can see going on my birthday and Christmas wish lists when mine runs out! Available in Liberty or online here.

Next for my nail colour of choice for the past few weeks: Sally Hansen’s Pink Pong. This is quite literally the perfect nude shade for me. It’s so flattering and the texture is thick and opaque. It’s also incredibly chip-resistant and lasts a solid five days on my nails before even a hint of a chip. This is the perfect mid-week treat if you’re looking to update your polish collection – it’s become a firm staple of mine and I can’t see it going anywhere soon. It’s also only £6.99 – you can pick it up in Boots, Superdrug and online here.

Finally, this years pink edition ghd’s. If you don’t know about it already, every year ghd release a new limited edition pink styler, £10 of the RRP going straight to breast cancer charities. They raised over £9,000,000 over the years. It’s the perfect opportunity to invest in some new stylers if you’ve been thinking about it for a while. They are also bright, matte pink and this year they have released not just the original V Styler in pink, but also the Platinum stylers and the Air Hairdryer too. The originals are £130, available online here or in salons.
