Having long, bleach-highlighted hair often leaves me with dry ends and I have to admit, I’ve broken a few brush handles trying to detangle it in the past! I thought I’d tell you all about two special products I’ve been using recently to help me tame my mane.
The first is one of my holy grail hair products, and has been for a few years now. If you watch my YouTube channel on a regular basis, you may have heard me rave about it in the past. The product in question is Kerastase Nectar Thermique. It’s a heat protecting treatment that leaves your hair smooth and super shiny. It’s thick, creamy formula includes royal jelly to nourish and Xylose to protect the hair fibres from the damaging effects of heat styling (or so the packaging says!)
I run an olive-sized amount through the lengths of my hair after brushing and before blow drying to help eliminate frizz and protect my hair.
I truly cannot live without this product and I can’t imagine stopping using this in the future. However, I would love to try the new version specifically developed for colour treated hair ‘Chroma Termique’, which includes UV filters to maintain your colour, and MEA-18 (whatever that is?!) to ‘intensify’ it! I’ll definitely be purchasing this when my current supplies of Nectar Thermique run out, so I’ll let you know how they compare (I love the packaging already!)

The second product is from Schwarzkopf Professional BC’s new Smooth Shine collection. Their leave-in treatment promises to “repair the internal hair structure, shielding it during the smoothing process and leaving tresses with a velvety touch.”
I have been using this once a week to help repair and condition my hair and I have to say I absolutley love the results. My hair feels fresh, soft and shiny, although this is quite a heavy product so less is definitely more if you don’t want to weigh your hair down!
