Today I wanted to share some pictures of the new Urban Decay Gwen Stefani collection. It’s an extension of their existing eyeshadow palette with Gwen and those of you who loved that palette will adore these new additions I’m sure as they definitely don’t disappoint!
So there are 14 new products in total: a blush palette (£35), a brow box (£19.50), 6 lipsticks (£16) and 6 matching lip liners (£14). I’m going to be talking through the collection in a bit more detail in my upcoming ‘New in Beauty’ video next week, so if you want to know more on my thoughts about the collection, head over to my YouTube channel for that.
So first up for the blush palette, which is the star of the show in my opinion. There are 6 colours in here. The bottom three look quite similar at first glance but when you try them they are actually all notably different (LoFi is matte, Hush is shimmery and OC has an amazing iridescent opal finish to it) My personal favourites are Easy and OC, but all the shades are lovely and wearable. The whole palette is definitely more suited to pale skin tones as some of the shades are quite light. The pink shades are definitely the most pigmented but all blend beautifully. I think this is great value for money for £35 and the packaging is great… really weighty and substantial.
The brow palette only comes in one colour ‘Bathwater Blonde’ so works well for me as I have blonde hair, but wouldn’t work for everyone! It comes with two powders, a wax, two mini brushes and mini tweezers. The tools aren’t the best but the product itself is nice and the packaging is super portable so great for those on the go. I’ll definitely get some use out of it, but don’t think it’s a particularly ‘wow’ addition to the collection.
The lipsticks in this collection are mostly red (obviously as it’s a collaboration with Gwen Stefani and her ultimate signature look is always a red lip!) There is one nude ‘Ex Girlfriend’ which is a much lighter texture and level of pigmentation than the others. It’s so comfortable and easy to wear and simply the perfect nude for me – definitely my favourite! I also love the deep red ‘Rocksteady’ for a vampier lip. The textures are all different, with the bright ‘714’ shade being totally matte and the other brights mainly satin (but still seriously pigmented!) There are also two online-only limited edition colours, but I haven’t got those to show you, but in general the lipstick lineup is really impressive. The only shade I wouldn’t wear is the bright fuchsia ‘Firebird’. It’s a really pretty colour and I would have worn it a few years ago, but I think it’s a little too much my taste these days!

Each lipstick has a corresponding lip liner, which I haven’t swatched as they are the exact same shades as the lipsticks. I don’t really use lip liners but the Urban Decay ones are good as they are more of a gel-pencil texture (similar to their 24/7 eyeliners) so aren’t dry and don’t drag on the lips.
The collection is available online now (here) and on Urban Decay counters in February. What do you guys think? Will you be taking a look at any of these shades?
