I’m sorry for the lack of activity on the blog this week guys. If you don’t follow me on Twitter or YouTube, you might not know that my little dog Woof passed away last weekend, so I took a little time off, but I’m back this week with lots of gorgeous new beauty bits to share with you! A massive thanks to those of you who sent me a lovely message via Twitter, YouTube or email. Your support means the world to me.
Anyway… back to the products in question…
I picked up a couple of these Wet n’ Wild Mega Last lipsticks in New York last week on the recommendation of my friend Tati from GlamLifeGuru.
I snapped up two different shades: Just Peachy (903C) and Cherry Picking (965). The first was again a recommendation from Tati, but the second I just couldn’t resist as this type of red-pink shade is my ultimate favourite type of colour when it comes to brights.
Sadly, we don’t have Wet n’ Wild in the UK, but these products are super cheap, coming in at $1.99 each (Around £1.25!) For this price, I was astounded by the performance of the products. The formulation is quite thick, highly pigmented, and ever so slightly dry. If you suffer from dry lips, these products might not be for you as they can be a little drying, but for me, the texture of the lipstick helped the colour to stay on for hours. I would recommend popping a balm on before you apply, or a little gloss over the top, and these lipsticks will last you all day with just a few top-ups o keep the colour even.
The packaging isn’t out-of-this-world, but for $2 you wouldn’t expect it to be. The only downside I discovered to these lipsticks was the shape of the bullet. Because they are flat-topped lipsticks, they can be a little tricky to apply straight out of the tube, so if you want a perfect bright lip, I would definitely recommend using a lip brush with these.
Overall, I was utterly impressed with these and I’ll definitely be checking out more shades when I’m next in the US.
Have any of you tried Wet n’ Wild products? What are your favourites from the brand?
