The Big British Beauty Poll is Back!

You might remember, way back in November 2010 (or probably not… since it was almost two years ago now!) that I wrote a little post on here encouraging you all to go and take part in Olay’s Big British Beauty Poll?

Well, two years later, Olay are running the poll again, but this time it’s even bigger and better than before!

20,000 women took part in 2010, giving their opinions on their beauty loves and pet-peeves, and when Olay published the results, there were more than a few raised eyebrows (literally!) They showed that women are increasingly favouring less invasive treatment over Botox and fillers. A little more unsurprising was the fact that Audrey Hepburn was named the most iconic beauty of all time. 50% of women also voted ‘youthful looking skin’ as the most important beauty attribute, with less than 10% listing a toned body, shiny-looking hair, bright eyes or good teeth as top of their list.

This year Olay are extending their poll to include questions about your hair, body, cosmetics, hair removal, and how the recession has impacted your beauty spending habits.

More than anything, I think this project is a great way to really get your voice heard by a big brand. Giving you the chance to tell them what you want to get from your products, and what you would like to see in the future. It’s fantastic that a huge brand like Olay are taking the time to find out what women want, so that they can tailor their product line to cater for this.

You can head over to Olay’s Facebook page to enter the poll, which opened today and closes on Thursday 1st November 2012. (Please note, you must be over 18 to enter)

What’s more, if you do decide to enter, Olay are entering all participants into a prize draw to win one of 3x £1000 cash prizes and a selection of Olay products. If you go on to share the poll with friends on Facebook, they’ll also enter you into a further draw for 3x £500 cash prizes!

Full terms and conditions can be found on Olay’s Facebook page.
