Bourjois are following in the footsteps of Bobbi Brown’s 2011 holiday collection and releasing a selection of complementary dual-ended eyeliners.
I absolutely adored Bobbi Brown’s version at christmas so it’s good to see some high street dupes hit the market. Bourjois have been making dual eyeliners for years (I distinctly remember having one when I was about 14) but the new ‘Shadow &Light’ collection of their Kohl & Contour pencils have hit the nail on the head for me.
There are 5 shade variations, each having a darker matte shade, and a lighter, shimmery shade for highlighting and accenting the eyes.
The two I’d recommend checking out are Ebene/Argent and Brun/Caramel. These are both almost exact dupes for their Bobbi Brown Holiday ’11 counterparts (Jet & Chrome and Bronze & Chocolate). While some of the other shades lack in pigmentation (more specifically, the lighter tones) these are really quite lovely.
Although the BB alternatives are more of a gel consistency, the Bourjois pencils are very nicely pigmented and apply easily. Their staying power isn’t as good, but their price-tag is much more accessible at £5.59. I’m a big fan.
The Bourjois Kohl & Contour, Shadow & Light pencils are available in Boots & Superdrug now.
