Some
of you may already know of my love for rose gold… I’m obsessed, and therefore
very excited for the upcoming launch of Bobbi Brown’s Rose Gold Collection,
which hits counters on 20th April.
The
collection comprises of two shimmer bricks, four lip glosses and six lipsticks.
I must admit I was surprised not to see any eye products in the line up (I
think eye shadows and liners would have been divine!) but the collection is
stunning none the less.
I
was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at some of the lipglosses last week and they
didn’t dissapoint! All four are ‘Rich Colour Glosses’ which, unlike Bobbi’s
original lip glosses, are non-sticky and have fabulous pigmentation. The
brighter colours are more of a liquid lipstick than a gloss.

The
shade that caught my eye first was Pink Gold but after trying them all I
actually think this is my least favourite, as the strong gold shimmer isn’t the
most flattering choice for the lips.

The
surprise star of the collection is actually the colour I would have shyed away
from on paper. Pink Cocoa is a slightly mumsy nude brown colour that is made
into something special by a subtle (but most definitely noticeable!) pink
shimmer. It turns an everyday natural-nude into something really rather eye
catching. I think this is by far the star of the collection and will sell out fast!

I
can’t wait to see the rest of the collection in the flesh, I’m especially
excited for the Rose Gold shimmer brick (the name says it all) and Lilac
Lipstick (Below far right).
This is one collection I’d recommend making a beeline for in the
beauty halls come April!
