Sorry for the lack of posts this week girls! I don’t know where the first half of the week went… madness! But I’m back in blogging action today with a review of Rimmel’s New Scandal’Eyes Mascara.
I was a big fan of Rimmel’s last mascara release ‘Day 2 Night’, so when I saw they had released a new one I thought it would be well worth a try. I was wrong.
The mascara comes in a chunky orange tube. I quite like orange, so don’t find this too offensive but if you like your makeup to look sleek and sophisticated you’ll definitely find the packaging obnoxious. The brush is HUGE, which makes it a little tricky to apply. Some mascaras with huge brushes are fabulous and well worth the effort it takes to apply them without getting mascara on your eyelids, but when it comes to this one? It’s just not worth the hassle.
It gives you average volume, average length, and it’s a pain to apply. Not really a winner.
I wouldn’t have been quite so critical of this mascara had it not been claiming to ‘take your lashes to the next level’, leave them ‘shaped, plumed and exaggerated to perfection’ with ‘scadalous eye-opening volume’.
Just compare the results to my L’Oreal Luminizer Million Lashes…
Time to up your game Rimmel!
