When I twitpic-ed this snap of my nails earlier this week, I got more questions about what it was and where to get it than I’ve had about any other nail polish. Ever.
It is of course GOSH’s Holographic (549) and I must admit all the credit for this fabulous find is shared between two lovely blogging ladies:
1. Milly from PearlsandPoodles for blogging about it the previous week (she has some much better snaps of this polish in all it’s holographic glory on her blog!)
2. Lisa from GlitterandLoveX for so kindly offering to post me her unwanted bottle when I wouldn’t find it in the shops!
I believe (though I could be wrong!) that it has been discontinued. I have heard from a few people via Twitter that they have been able to get hold of one recently on clearance in their local Superdrug but I have not been able to find one for love nor money around me or in central London.
The good news?! There are currently a few on eBay. You’ll have to pay over the odds for them (RRP£5) but this is a really rather special polish. Personally I’ve never come across anything to compare it too (perhaps OPI my private jet original formula but even then, that is a darker grey/brown not this bright and beautiful silver!)
A few people detest it for it’s poor staying power, saying that it can’t last a day without chipping but personally, for a polish that looks this fabulous… I don’t even mind! It’s more of a party polish anyway and I must have been asked five or six times (in one day!) what it was when I wore it last week.
Please let me know if anyone out there has this, wants it or knows where you can still pick it up! I’d love to get hold of some for gifts too so any info would be greatly appreciated! F x
