Yesterday I picked up the Collection 2000 ‘Big Fake’ false lash effect mascara after reading Pixiwoo‘s rave about it in their recent blog post. I thought some of you may be interested in the results…
My first impression of the mascara was that it seemed like quite a dry formula. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s noticeably more dry than most. It also has an exceptionally huge brush so if you have a preference for smaller/comb wands then this may not be for you!
As for the results I have to say I was very impressed.
Before
After
It’s not incredibly lengthening but does wonders for the volume of my lashes, and seems to fan them out very nicely. It is quite easy to smudge it on your lower lash line due to the size of the brush, but apart from that I’m very impressed indeed. This is one of the best drugstore mascaras I’ve tried, and one of the cheapest at only £4.99 (available from Boots)
As for wear throughout the day, I’m currently a few hours in and it’s looking good – I’ll update this post again once I’ve worn it for a few days and let you know if my opinion changes!
UPDATE: Lasted all day without smudging or flaking, but I must say the lengthening effect did wear off throughout the day (but to be honest that happens with the majority of mascaras!) Overall I’m really impressed with this one – I would definitely recommend it!
