Hello Everyone!
If you follow me on Twitter you may be aware that I nearly fainted earlier this week when my boyfriend suggested a trip to the Selfridges sale, and thought I should snap up this opportunity before he changed his mind! We therefore paid a visit to Selfridges Birmingham today and I came away with a few little purchases.
The first and only thing that caught my eye in the Selfridges sale this year was this Vivienne Westwood shirt.
It’s pretty unusual. Although instantly recognisable as a Westwood design, I think it will be a love/hate item. I love it, but I’ll forgive you if you don’t! My boyfriend actually treated me to this, as it was 70% off at £55.
After a lengthy rootle around the bag and shoe sale section (which is normally outstanding in Birmingham Selfridges) I found nothing and decided to hit Zara, where I found this little (well, huge) beauty.
By now you might be noticing a little pattern here… but I promise I’m not shopping for a pirate-themed fancy dress party. I thought this would be perfect for summer, or even as a beach bag while I’m sunning myself on my holidays next week. It was priced at £29.99, which I thought was pretty reasonable considering it is well made for the high street and the faux leather is actually pretty convincing (I had to feel it to decide if it was real or not).
The final item actually arrived in the post this morning, and I have to say the photos don’t them justice. Continuing on the Pirate theme…
These sparklers are from Tanya Burr‘s online jewellery shop (if you don’t watch her on YouTube already you must go and check her out now, she’s fabulous!). This is what they look like on, i have to say it feels a bit awkward putting a close up of my ear on here but…
They are encrusted with Swarovski crystals and really sparkle in real life. I tried so hard to capture this in the photos but I failed miserably! The shop assistant that served me in Selfridges loved them so much she asked me to write down Tanya’s web address on a receipt! They are priced at £34 and she’s selling out fast so if you’d like to get your hands on some then click here!
So I had a fab day out with the Boyfriend (who picked up some new white Havaianas, as Woof had chewed his old ones!). I do feel awful leaving woof all by her lonesome in the day. We were only gone for a few hours but I love seeing her little face when we get home. As usual she came outside to for the photo-shoot with me, but for once found a more interesting thing to chew than the packaging.
