Review: Redken All Soft

I’ve been using the Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner for about a month now. I’d seen quite a few rave reviews online, so when I was looking for a new shampoo and conditioner last month, I thought I would give these a whirl.

They are designed for dry and brittle hair, so I thought they would be perfect for my long, colour treated locks that break when using even the most gentlest hairbrush.

The line is formulated with an ‘Interlock Protien Network’ (oooh, technical!) that apparently helps to rebuild the hair surface protection and strengthens the core. They also contains argan oil for extra softness.

After trying these for the first time, I was surprisingly unimpressed. Although they smell lovely and fruity, and were pleasant to use, they left my hair feeling overloaded and weighed down once it was dry. Not something I’m used to, as normally my hair drinks up anything I treat it with.

I did a little research online to see if I was alone in feeling this, only to find that they have fairly recently changed the formula of this range, leaving many a disgruntled customer. I haven’t tried the original, but I have to say that this left a lot to be desired, especially when you consider that each bottle with set you back around £12.

However, I’m not one to waste my hair products and while I must admit that using these together left my hair feeling very weighed down, I did find that using just the conditioner with another shampoo and vice versa made these products use-able. I’ll finish these up, but I won’t be repurchasing.

All in all, I was really disappointed by these.

I’d love to know your thoughts if anyone has tried these in the past?
