Fragrance Friday: Korres Vanilla Freesia Lychee

I’ve had my eyes (and nose!) on the this fragrance for a while now. I first tried Korres products this summer and have since become obsessed. Their perfume collection doesn’t see as much love as I think it should online, as they have some really lovely fragrances. They are all quite different so I think there is something for everyone.

My favourite however, is potentially the sweetest of the bunch: Vanilla Freesia Lychee.

There are no prizes for identifying the notes of this as it’s mostly in the name, although there are notes of Peach, Bergamot, Tea, Jasmine, Patchouli and Musk added in there which add to the complexity of the scent.

This sweet and fruity fragrance is warmed up by the vanilla, so something about it smells lovely and creamy to me. It will certainly be far too sweet for many people, but I personally love sweet, gourmand scents and I think it’s gorgeous. It reminds me a little bit of Victor and Rolf’s Flowerbomb, but a little more subtle. It’s the perfect balance of fruity, sweet and floral!

The staying power is great for an eau de toilette too. It lasts about 6-8 hours on my skin.

I picked mine up in a gift set from ASOS, which was on sale for £24 (and is still available at the time of posting – HERE). It contains a full size of the Eau de Toilette, Shower Gel and Body Milk.

While the body milk isn’t as thick as their gorgeous body butter, it is much thicker than I was expecting for a ‘milk’ – it’s more like a classic lotion consistency. It absorbs instantly and leaves my skin feeling super smooth. The shower gel is also a lovely smooth consistency that leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. All in all, Korres remains the apple of my bodycare eye!
